"Lab Rat" - Tag

© All Rights Reserved
© All Rights Reserved
For many years now, I have been meaning to make a "lab rat" sign to put at my desk, for when I am away from it working in the lab. Lately all I have been doing is working (and I'm grateful I have a job!), leaving my creative side at a loss for ideas for challenges. So today I decided to make a Lab Rat sign. Unfortunately, for some reason my printer didn't print the colors right, so I have posted the scan of the tag, and the original design.

The rat is from the New York Public Library, and the laptop is from Microsoft's clipart. I Googled the chair, then applied a GIMP cartoon script on it.

The message font is HarabaraHand Italic and the binary font is Greetings.

"Vintage Photo" – Gothic Arch

© All Rights Reserved
Kris is trying to create a new Gothic Arch challenge if she gets enough interest. This week's theme was “Vintage Photo.” The words are by Adele, from her song "Someone Like You" which I first heard on the radio this past week, and which makes me cry each time I hear it.

Don't forget me, I begged,
I remember you said:-
"Sometimes it lasts in love
but sometimes it hurts instead"

As I thought about this piece longer, I decided it wasn't quite right, and modified it. I hate doing re-dos, and don't normally do this, but this is the second time in a row that I have.
